The Bahian band Seu Calixto has released their newest single, “Águas do Bem”. The track, which will be included in the compilation Rock Freeday Collection , is the group's first work in partnership with the renowned Universo Verde Digital studio.

“We are a rock band, with elements of pop culture, regional rhythms and an alternative touch that sets us apart from the traditional Salvador scene,” explains vocalist Pedro Iglesias in a statement released to the press.

"Our sound is danceable, with swing and groove, and aims to take the audience on a unique and engaging musical experience."

The song represents a combination of alternative rock elements with regional rhythms such as baião and maracatu, as well as influences from artists like Nação Zumbi, Red Hot Chili Peppers , and Ramones.

Recognition of Seu Calixto's talent came with the award for best lyrics for the song "Rajadas" at the Clube dos Bons Sons Rock Awards. "It was an incredible and unexpected achievement," says the band. "The award gave us the opportunity to record a track at Estúdio Universo Verde, which was a fundamental step for our career."

Seu Calixto consists of Gabriel Brandão (bass), Seu Zé (guitar), David Bernardes (drums), and Pedro Iglesias (vocals).
